Progeny is entering an exciting phase of growth and succession, which has led to the acquisition of The Fry Group. Together, we offer wealth management and financial advice, with offices in the UK and internationally (United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Hong Kong and Belgium).

As part of this growth, we are looking for a Financial Planner to join our team in Belgium. As a Financial Advisor, you will manage a portfolio of clients, providing them with sound financial advice in line with FSMA rules and Company procedures. Offering intelligent and creative solutions to client issues, and communicating financial plans and advice concisely, you will ensure excellent client outcomes are consistently achieved and deliver exceptional levels of client service.

Please note this is an opportunity for a Financial Planner to relocate from the UK to work in our office in Brussels, Belgium.

Key Responsibilities

Meet Clients’ demands, keeping them up to date with progress and engendering trust and respect, actively promoting the TCF initiative.
Assist in the delivery of independent financial plans and advice in accordance with Progeny’s regulatory standards and rules.
Communicate financial plans and advice in a simple and concise way, ensuring engagement and understanding with clients.
Assist in the provision and implementation of suitable private client financial advice to meet and/or exceed agreed activity targets.
Manage ongoing reviews in line with client service agreements.
Provide intelligent and creative solutions to Client issues both reactively and proactively.
Learn, understand and be able to successfully articulate all aspects of the firm’s financial planning proposition.
Complete Continuous Professional Development to meet regulatory requirements, obtain annual CPD and personal development needs.

Skills, Knowledge and Requirements

Diploma in Financial Planning (Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning is desirable).
PCP or RD qualified with the FSMA Belgian regulator (or be able to take these exams which are available in French, Dutch or possibly English). These exams must be passed within 9 months of starting the position.
Proven experience in paraplanning or a technical role gained within an advisory practice.
Proven experience using and delivering a full range of provider products, services, and capabilities with experience of delivering them.
Experience in a client-facing role, skilled in building and maintaining excellent client and internal relationships, within all parts of the business.
Ability to speak English fluently.
An understanding of French or Dutch.
Degree in Finance or a relevant field from an accredited institution (desirable).
Hold an EU passport (if not visa requirements can be discussed).
